Matt Uhrig began his legal career in September of 2000 as an Assistant Jackson County Prosecutor in Kansas City, Missouri.

He went on to work for one of Missouri’s largest law firms, defending personal injury cases and insurance matters. He later joined the Lake Law Firm in Jefferson City, MO where he was eventually made a partner.

In April of 2008, Matt established the Law Office of Matt Uhrig, where he focuses on plaintiff’s personal injury, wrongful death, and workers’ compensation claims.

Matt and his Firm Administrator, Jennifer John, work to protect the legal rights of fellow Missourians in their Ashland, MO office.

Jennifer John

Jennifer John began her career as a certified public accountant and auditor with Ernst & Young in Kansas City, and then worked in the insurance industry in Texas. After taking a break to become a mom of four kids, she joined the Law Office of Matt Uhrig in 2012 as a paralegal and firm administrator.

 
 

Alexander Brown

Alexander is the newest attorney to join the Law office of Matt Uhrig.

Alex was a celebrated graduate of the University of Missouri Law School and finished his term there with an Honors Tax Concentration. He began working with Matt Uhrig while he was still a student in November 2020 and joined the team as a full-time attorney in September of 2021.

In his time at the Law Office of Matt Uhrig, Alex learned the importance of enriching client lives, solving problems, and making sure justice is served. Alex is looking forward to developing his life in Mid-Missouri with his wife, Michelle, as he continues working with Matt to help Mid-Missouri residents with their legal issues.
